Biography

I am Hakim Gonthier, born in 1979 in Lausanne, Switzerland, holding dual Swiss and Tunisian citizenship.

From 2008 to 2021, my career as a social scientist unfolded at the University of Lausanne, with a focus on researching the Men’s movement in Switzerland for my PhD thesis. The turning point came in 2017 with the transformative NWTA experience, enriching my personal life and catalyzing significant professional development.

Inspired by this encounter, I delved into the Shadow Work® path. Accompanied by training as a counselor in batterers’ intervention programs in Gatineau, Canada, I engaged in counseling sessions with men in both group and one-on-one settings, a commitment sustained in Geneva until 2022. Additionally, I co-facilitated group sessions with female domestic violence offenders, contributing to a holistic approach to intervention. In 2021, I assumed the role of director for an NGO providing a helpline for those attracted to minors and their entourage.

Qualified to lead Shadow Work® seminars and one-to-one coaching sessions in English and French, my goal is to create a supportive and culturally sensitive space for personal growth and transformation.
