Frank, aged 49-years-old, first became involved with Shadow Work® in 2010. In 2013 he embarked on a journey to discover a deeper understanding of this amazing self-development tool. He is a former PhD-neurobiologist and teacher, who has also worked in the field of recovery from addiction since 1999.
Frank says “My academic background, my experience as a teacher and my work in recovery formed my ideas about learning. This is where Shadow Work comes into the picture. Learning happens best when we are in a highly emotional state. Shadow Work® has an especially high emphasis on enabling those states in a non-judgemental, non-shaming environment. Here we can experiment with parts of our character that we would like to change or have a look at situations in our lives, that we would like to improve. By doing so, we can learn and integrate new patterns of behaviour in a very effective way.”
